20 movies I want to see

There's probably a few glaring omissions, and some of these are almost certain to disappoint. One thing I noticed typing this up. There are definitely too many colons and numbers here (though Super 8 is off the hook), and Harry Potter picks up both of them. See the list after the jump.
  1. Captain America: The First Avenger - See here.
  2. Thor - Another entry in the buildup to The Avengers.
  3. Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows: Part II - Sequel to my #7 of 2010.
  4. Super 8 - J.J. Abrams directs a tribute to Steven Spielberg? I'm in.
  5. Sucker Punch - This may only appeal to young males. I am one of those.
  6. Transformers: Dark of the Moon - I have a soft-spot for this franchise.
  7. X-Men: First Class - Since the first trailer, this looks good.
  8. Cowboys & Aliens - The title says it all.
  9. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - Looks better than 2 and 3.
  10. Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol - New cast members look promising.
  11. Now - Sounds like a great Sci-Fi film (retitled In Time)
  12. Battle: Los Angeles - Will be good IF it really is Black Hawk Down meets ID4.
  13. War Horse - Steven Spielberg's first war movie since Saving Private Ryan.
  14. Green Lantern - There's only an outside chance this will be watchable.
  15. Hangover, Part II - Did it need a sequel? No. Is Liam Neeson in it? Hell, yes.
  16. Kung Fu Panda 2 - Sequel to awesomesauce.
  17. The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn - Spielberg and Jackson unite!
  18. The Adjustment Bureau - A Philip K. Dick adaptation.
  19. Paul - An alien movie from the makers Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead.
  20. Real Steel - Hugh Jackman. Fighting robots. Think about it.
What'd I leave out? Twilight 4? That was intentional. I'm not sold on Sherlock Holmes 2 without seeing a trailer. The first was good, but not great.

    1. I think I'd have to add Puss In Boots to this list. It didn't show up when I was scrolling through IMDB's release schedule, but I'm probably as excited about that as I am Kung Fu Panda 2.
